The St. Mary Golf Outing was founded in 1973 by a group of men who graduated from St. Mary High School as a means to give back to the school. The continued efforts of these gentlemen and new members have allowed this fine tradition to continue without fail for decades. Since 1973 SMASH has raised over $500,000 by means of an annual golf outing. Of the funds raised, approximately $80,000 in scholarships have been given to students from the 8th grade class who attend Catholic high school.
We have changed the name of our outing from SMASH to the St Mary Annual Golf Outing due to the event no longer being men only. While the name has changed, our traditions will continue.
This year, the profits will go to our Emergency Tuition Fund, Athletic Department and to help offset the cost of the 8th Grade Washington DC Trip.
If you are interested in participating in this annual tradition, the 2024 Golf Outing will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at Cherry Creek Golf Course.
