Volunteer OpportunitiesParticipation on committees will fulfill your volunteer hours for the year.Sponsorship Chairperson- need to attend our monthly meetings. Responsibilities include communication with other committee members and organizing information of sponsors, making sure their payments go through, making sure their ads are submitted to our Coordinator.Sponsorship Committee Member- You will work under the Sponsorship Chairperson and report to him/her. Your main job is to fulfill the sponsorships that we have available. Documents will be provided for you as well of lists of sponsors that we have used before.Red Raffle Chairperson- need to attend monthly meeting. Your responsibility will be to put together 12-15 prizes for the red raffle valued at $250-$400. A lot of the items are donated. You will need to solicit some donations. Documents will be provided. You will be the lead person for this raffle. You will be required to update an online spreadsheet provided. Communication is key!Red Raffle committee member- you will work directly with the Red Raffle chairperson. You will help put prizes together as well as solicit some donations.Advertising Chairperson- need to attend monthly meeting. You will be required to update online spreadsheet provided and report directly to Ashley Jerzewski with ads. Oversee advertising committee members and make sure ads are submitted as well as payments. Documents and direction will be provided.Advertising Committee member- work directly under the Advertising Chairperson. Your main job is to ask around and try and get businesses to purchase an ad in the program. Forms and information will be provided.Grand Raffle Chairperson- you will learn from Courteney McInerney on the process of organizing the grand raffle tickets and sorting/collecting the money.Grand Raffle committee members- your job is to report directly to Grand Raffle chairperson. You will help sell the grand raffle tickets as well as distribute to parents to sell for volunteer hours.Donation Chairperson- your job will be to pick up donated items from the parish and school offices and bring to Heather Peterson’s house. You will also help solicit donated items from companies.Misc Task Committee- Attend monthly meeting. Communicate directly with chairpersons. Fulfill Miscellaneous tasks needed. Example- picking up things from stores, communication information, help with assembling items.

What is the St Mary Annual Gala?
Formerly known as “St Mary Holiday Party & Raffle” and before that, the St. Mary Card Party, the gala is our largest annual fundraiser. The funds from this event are used to focus on curriculum & technology enrichment, increased health & social awareness, and family social activities. Through their fundraising efforts, we are able to provide programs that we would be unable to offer due to financial constraints.
This amazing event has evolved over the years. It was once held in the church basement, then the Fr Welch Parish Hall, our auxiliary gym, our main gym and now once again at Andiamo’s on 14 and Vandyke. Having it at a large hall is extremely convenient for all that is putting together this amazing event. We are grateful to one of our own St Mary Parents who is a manager at Andiamo and is working with us to provide a really wonderful and successful fundraiser.
This year we will have a family style dinner, open bar, DJ entertainment, multiple raffles, silent auctions and more!
