Students in grades 4-8 are encouraged to consider Altar Serving!
If your child wishes to become an altar server, please click the link below.
Our altar servers perform a vital role in assisting our priests at Mass. Altar serving can help the young people of our parish be more involved in the Liturgy and in the sacramental life of our parish. It is a great opportunity to grow your relationship with Christ and is a great honor, privilege, and way to grow in your understanding of what goes on during Mass, in your faith, and in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our St. Mary Altar Servers assist at all our school Masses on a rotating basis. St. Peter Parish altar servers are also assigned to serve the weekend Masses. (If your home parish is not St. Peter, and your child is involved in the altar serving program at your home parish, your student will just serve school Masses!) They are scheduled on a rotating basis between the 4:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, 7:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. or 12:00 noon Mass on Sunday.
Altar servers are also expected to sign-up for and serve other liturgies during the year, as their schedules permit, which consist of Holy Days, the Christmas and Easter seasons including Stations of the Cross, and other special liturgies, which take place at St. Peter Church.
